The lower end karts have solid rubber tires of about 4.5 to 6 inches diameter and weigh about 50-60 pounds. They typically have motors in between 25.4cc to 40cc, but motors up to 57cc can be purchased from aftermarket sources. These karts typically travel in between 20 and 30 MPH, and are primarily used by private parties for recreational riding, but are also raced in racing organizations such as the ISA Scootercross (International Scootercross Association).
